Meet your instructor
Cindy is a HPCSA registered Clinical Psychologist with 14 years’ experience and has a preference for working from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) modality. She has completed international training accredited by the Albert Ellis Institute in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), as well as various trainings from The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is Level 2 certified in Rational Living Therapy with the international association NACBT. She has attended over 300 additional hours of training in CBT and has presented 22 courses on topics of CBT.
She works with adolescents, adults and couples using predominantly CBT. She has been providing training, workshops and supervision to other psychologists, counsellors, social workers and psychiatrists since 2016. She has a passion for CBT, and therefore enjoys sharing her knowledge and helping others in the field develop their competencies.
On-demand training requires you to watch all the provided content, as well as submit any required assignments and pass any quizzes with a minimal of 70%.
You have multiple attempts to pass the quizzes. Once you have fulfilled all these requirements you will receive your certificate for the training. As required, we will submit your information to the HPCSA in order for them to upload your training to your profile on their portal.
No, this training is designed as professional training for those indicated professionals for which the training would fall within their scope of practice.
These courses are on-demand, meaning that you can watch them at your own time and pace. Once you have purchased the course you will have access to the course material in the “My Courses” section on your profile. The courses are recorded videos on the course content which you can watch. You can also download the presentation handouts. You will need to complete multiple-choice questions on the course content to be awarded the CPD points. Some courses also have (easy) non-graded assignments that will need to be upload as part of the course.
The training needs to be started and completed in the same calendar year to be awarded the CPD points. You therefore have up until 31 December in the year you purchased the training to complete the training.

Not all our training is only earmarked for psychologists, however as a psychologist myself many of the training has psychologists and the field that I know in mind when presenting. Regardless of your discipline or registration you may attend the training, although you may only use what you learn in the training according to your scope of practice and the limitations prescribed according to such.
