This is a brand-new course that focuses on treating trauma using CBT. This training is on-demand, which allows you to attend the training in your own time and at your own pace. This practical course focuses on helping therapists to gain comprehensive understanding, competency, and skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when treating trauma.

In this course I focus on creating an understanding of the CBT principles needed to treat trauma. We also look at the ethical considerations needed when working with trauma. In this course I focus on both acute and significant self-standing traumatic events, but also how to treat trauma where micro-traumas have significantly impacted the client. There is special focus on Cognitive Processing Therapy, as well as sexual assault as a traumatic event. I also discuss case studies, and the training includes a role play. I share my knowledge and experience in working with trauma cases over the past 16 years.
